More Storms, More Shares, and a Project Moving Very Fast

This is what the house looks like right now — with the caveat that the gathering storm you see in the photo is now here, directly overhead. The adobes are moving steadily upward, and by next week, they'll have finished the ground floor.

To that end, they set up the scaffolds today. Things will move fast tomorrow. They'll take the weekend off (and probably Monday, to permit us to get certain things done that will require our undivided attention), but when work resumes, it will go even faster.

Here, you can see the east corner, story pole still present, bay windows rapidly being enclosed by adobes. Sometime next week, they'll likely be ready to pour the bond beam, and then the vigas and the ceiling will be installed. From there, as I understand it, the rest of the exterior shell, including upper-level walls and roof, will come fast, provided we can maintain the funding required to do it.

So that means that we need daily shares of our YouCaring page via the widgets on it, including the widget code at lower-right that gets you this:

It also means that we need daily shares of Wings's site. No matter how much we raise via the crowdfunding page, it's never going to provide full funding, and in addition to paying for materials and labor on a daily basis, we also need to cover ordinary day-to-day expenses. That's where sales come in.

Thanks to everybody who keeps sharing the links, donating, writing posts in support, and otherwise giving us a hand. I will tell you frankly that, with monsoon season here, I am at an exceptionally low physical ebb with my autoimmune issues (something that happens every year at this time), so I'm further behind than I should be. I promise I will get to everything; I just need patience and forbearance while I navigate this dizzying array of tasks while I'm struggling with this kind of pain.
