This is what it looked like at the end of yesterday.
By the end of today:
This has been a very long, very difficult week. I feel like I've done nothing but chase money, which is one of the things I hate most in the world, ranked way down there with getting a root canal. We are, quite literally, eking out these days at the moment. We have a couple of sales that will be paid next week, which will take the immediate pressure off a little, but only insofar as it takes care of what's due now. I'll still have to raise enough money to keep our small crew employed for the week after that (and the one after that, and on and on), until this is done.
Which means, of course, that we still need daily link shares. First, we need shares of the link to our YouCaring page, where I've been trying persistently for two weeks now to move the needle up to the $5K mark (and now, we really need to aim for the $7,500 point, at a minimum). Please use the widgets (it really does make a difference); if you grab the code from the purple box in the lower right-hand corner, it will produce this image:
And we also need shares of the link to Wings's Web site, because sales are what's really our bread and butter, and what keeps us able to put food on the table and pay for lights and Internet and all the thousand and one other little expenses that count up so fast.
Thanks to everyone who's given us a hand in one form or another thus far. The crew comes back next Wednesday, so that we have a couple of business days to take care of appointments and errands related to Wings's hopefully-impending knee replacement. I'm hoping to get some free hours to get to some long-overdue thank-yous this weekend. And for those of you who read the Web site regularly, tomorrow morning I'll have an all-new work by Wings to feature.
