On full alert — and wisely so, because Cricket is a famed hunter of prairie dogs. What's notable this year is that these little dudes are not nearly as fat as recent years, so the ravages of the drought are getting to them, too. 

Unfortunately, the land is even more ravaged, and these little beasts are overrunning it (due in no small part to colonial overdevelopment deliberately running them out of their own warrens, chasing them out here to overpopulate).

We're supposed to get a little snow overnight. More to the point, our high tomorrow is supposed to be half what it is today: 60 today, 30 tomorrow, and more of these deadly winds the whole time, which means that tomorrow's wind chill will likely hit single digits. This is the worst time of year for my joints, and they have been screaming at me for days now; almost no sleep last night because of the pain, and tonight's guaranteed to be more of the same. And my workload keeps building.

No wonder I'm tired all the time.

But since we still have to pay obeisance to this stupid colonizer government in the form of taxes, I need to get back to it. I said yesterday that I had two new works by Wings to post, and I've still had no time to deal with them. Hopefully that will get done tonight, so keep a watch in this space for them; they're already on the site, but I haven't had time to promote them.
