His two newest pairs, not quite done yet. I posted the lower pair elsewhere the other day, and I think I mistakenly said they included iron pyrite, but that's the folly of looking at them in shadow, late in the day, with no direct light. It's hematite.

At any rate, two new pairs of loop earrings, these two both perfect for Goth-y folks: lots of black, lots of shadows and webbing, lots of ghostly accent shades. Unfortunately, thanks to the skyrocketing costs of absolutely freaking everything, these are going up, too; $235 barely even covers his costs, so I think he said this series is going up to $275 a pair now. Not the ones already on the site, of course; they'll stay at their original prices. But going forward, ::sigh:: I think we can expect most of the smaller items to go up a bit, which sucks, but this s where everything is now.

Anyway. I spent all of yesterday thinking it was Friday [in part, because it was going to be the guys' last day for the week; one's going out of town], so imagine my crushing disappointment when I woke up this morning and discovered that today was only Thursday, not Saturday. This week has been a killer, and while I expected today to be better, it has not remotely turned out that way, hence me doing all of my work late at night instead of in the morning. 

This holiday creative season is barely under way, and I'm so tired. And yeah, I know, I hate the whole "holiday shopping season in October" nonsense, but it's been that way going on half a century now, and we can't afford to pretend that this is not already that season. I just need us to have a good fall and winter sales-wise, now. Two years in a row, now, all these hellish expenses we could neither predict nor prevent, and certainly couldn't ignore, and we're going to be paying for a lot of them for the foreseeable. So right now, we need to make up for a lot of that over these three months, in part because we have a very big tax prepayment due before the end of the year. If we could just continue to make regular weekly sales, we'd be fine . . . but we need to make those sales now. There's a lot of gorgeous new work up, but I've got to sell it for it to make any difference. I need to find a way to change all of that now, and fast.
