The light today has been nothing short of phenomenal, a reminder of why fall is the season of light, more than any other here. No clouds, though [endless you count an endless and invasive web of contrails worsening the drought]. It's also 76 degrees, which is at least thirty degrees too warm, but here we are. Again.

Not tempting fate today. I learned my lesson last night, when I'd said here earlier that I couldn't take a single additional thing . . . and the universe said, "Wanna bet?" And promptly downed our Web site entirely, even for me. It was still that way this morning, but thanks to Logan, who was in fact staffing things today, which I did not expect, we're back up, at least partially. Still not sure which plug-in was at fault, and the WP end of it needs an overhaul, and some folks on some browsers still can't load it, but at least it's up.

The other problem, of course, is the sales issue, which has been all year in the making by now. There is so much new work, and there will soon be a lot more that's newer still, and we've been incredibly blessed to make four sales this weekend [and thank you all; you know who you are]. Trouble is, after this god-awful year, we need to make a sale a day now, on average, and even with four new ones? We're nowhere near that. The last two years have all but killed us financially, and I need to get us caught up to make it through the end of the year. Among that new work is the pair of earrings I posted here the other day and am featuring there today, which you can find here; the necklace I posted here a few days ago has a whole new bail, and I'm planning to get it up on the site yet tonight without fail [yeah, right, which I've been saying for a fucking week now, but there are only 24 hours in a day]. But whatever else, we [which means I] have got to change this trajectory, and fast.
