Not what I had in mind.

When I said yesterday that all these light shows in the sky were a harbinger, this was NOT what I had in mind.

That's what's left of our front steps. Rotted through. One of our friends came over today and pulled them out and rebuilt new ones with some of the leftover lumber from the upstairs deck, but another expense is not what I had in mind for this week, either. We're beyond lucky; he's helping us with it and letting us pay him a bit later, because right now, sales are virtually nonexistent, and I've still got to pay a couple of other bills, buy Miika's other meds [over $200], and, and, and . . . .

And I'm losing my mind. We have to pay out on a bunch of stuff this week, and no way to do it.

Because after this god-awful year, we still need to make a sale a day now, on average, and we're nowhere near that. The last two years have all but killed us financially, and I need to get us caught up to make it through the end of the year.
