Just got confirmation, Amazon (or whoever is the subcontractor type) has shipped the heating pad, expect it Friday at the post office box, they claim.

DeleteAji! some years ago, Margo sent me a nest just like that one!!! But I can't remember what nest she said it was.

Oh, wow - how wonderful! This one is a Bullock's Oriole nest. There's another one, more shrunken, a couple of ranches over - that one is last year's. When they showed up this spring, they investigated that one thoroughly, then built their new one one tree over in the same stand (as a practical matter, a couple of feet away). This is the newer one, still (mostly) holding its shape. :-)
