#ThrowbackThursday: Fiery Spirits of Air and Earth

It's #TBT at The NDN Silver Blog, and in this cold and wintry week, we go back a few years to a special commission that summoned the spirits of summer. It's a matched set, necklace and earrings, designed specifically for a friend who wanted a special gift for his wife, one that would capture her own spirit.

    Didn't want to say it til I had them in hand, but I got a little sumpin for Wings. I was looking something up online, and came across a website, and ended up picking up a couple pairs of jasper cabs I think might do nicely as earrings, one of which has a matching, slightly larger stone that might work in a necklace. Sort of Christmasy colours of red white and black, although they reminded me of spun down vials of drawn blood, where the red cells have separated out from the serum. Also tossed in a small scapolite. They arrived in the mail today, so I'll be popping them along in the next box that goes out.
