Done for the week; huge expenses looming. We really need an all-out push from everyone on sharing the links.

The guys made some good progress today on the papering and wiring, but there's more to do. They have to finish the upper level on the east side (what's visible in the photo) and on the north side (what's not, which is the back of the house). If it seems like it's taking a long time, there's a good reason for that: These guys do their work properly, which is to say, they worry about doing it right at every stage along the way. I've known contractors who would just slap this up any which way, on the theory that it'll all be covered by the plaster anyway, so who cares if it looks sloppy now? These guys don't work that way, and we're grateful for it.

We're meeting with a local specialist tomorrow afternoon about the front door. We were supposed to put down the deposit on the windows and other doors today, but we and he couldn't make our schedules coordinate, so that's been bumped to Monday afternoon. It's going to be a hell of a hit, and it's only half the total.

We've been so blessed to have the kind of weather we do. Yes, everything freezes hard overnight, but we're still getting up around 60 every day. But the fact of the matter is that we're running out of time, and fast. We really, really need folks to share the link to our YouCaring page, and to do so daily. We're in a holding pattern now, with almost no new funds coming in either by way of the crowdfunding effort or by way of sales. And the sales are just as important, because that's the baseline for all of this; it pays the bills and helps fund construction, over and above what the crowdfunding effort can do. 

We need your help with an all-out push. We have several smaller stages rolled into one enormous one right now, trying to get this wrapped up before real winter gets here, and we're up against it. We need folks to share the YouCaring page via the widgets provided, including the widget code from the box at lower right that gives you the running tally shown here:

We need a similar push on shares of Wings's Web site, too. The economy here is as terrible as it's been in recent years; downtown, the number of empty storefronts seems to grow almost by the day. Tourism is way down, and I don't know how people without an online presence are going to make it through the winter. But even a online presence doesn't do much without exposure, and so we need consistent shares. If you're considering commissioning holiday gifts, now's the time to get hold of me, so that I can get your order into the queue on Wings's workbench and ensure delivery in time.

Thank you to everyone for your help thus far. Wings and I are both stretched far too thin right now, too much to do and too few hours, and both of us now have the same bug everyone else around here seems to have, so I'm going to be continually late on everything for a while. Please bear with me on all of it.
