In anticipation of better days: three new works by Wings.
I've been watching these take shape all week, and I freely admit that I covet all three, desperately. But they're meant to go elsewhere, to wearers who need the particular powers they confer. And they are powerful.
The first two pieces, while sold separately, are in the nature of an informal set — a necklace and a pair of earrings that complement each other beautifully while not being an exact match, each fully capable of standing on its own.
We begin with that necklace, shown above in close-up: Messenger of Hope. It's Dragonfly as you've never seen her, cut freehand and with stampwork as transitional and transformational as her very self: wings reflective of Art Nouveau's flowing lines, body rising at Art Deco's geometric angles. Her head is malachite, and she hangs from a strand of malachite cube beads alternating with translucent blue-violet iolite rounds, anchored by tiny doughnut rondels of electric azurite in malachite. You can read the full description here.

Next up are the coordinating earrings, also cut freehand and given the same combination of flowing and geometric stampwork. These are Medicine Spirits, each with a head formed of that deep blue-violet iolite, hanging from sterling silver wires. You can read their description here.

And last but not remotely least, an adorable addition to the stable of Necklaces. This is The Light Horse, and he's the progenitor, by quite a long shot, actually, of the similar horse Wings created last month. This one is also cut freehand, with a more detailed mane and tail and an organic slider-style bail, and instead of a painted arrow, he's marked by the light with a fiery bezel-set Ethiopian opal. He hangs from a strand of beads in the colors of the sky: tiny turquoise rounds alternating with brilliant apatite, translucent Montana agate rounds and larger spiderweb turquoise barrels, and tiny impression jasper rounds in turquoise and rust shades as anchor beads. You can read his full description here.
You can order any (or all!) via the Contact form here. Our full current inventory begins with Wings's main page, here. Pleases share, because we have really, really got to make sales now.
