Today doesn't look promising, though.

Lots of heavy clouds yesterday, but only the scantest of showers, not even enough to settle the dust. We'll still take it and hope; maybe it's the first of the season.

Today doesn't look promising, though.

Meanwhile, I seem to have undone all of my progress with my left foot and ankle yesterday, having to chase the horses TWICE. It also meant I got nothing accomplished beyond the bare minimum. It has been a hellishly expensive week already, with the hay for those additional seven horses, the $550 out of pocket Wednesday for my first treatment, and the tax payments still to be handled this week and next.  All of it? In cash. And because the horses keep making a break for it, Wings is now at Tractor Supply spending money on wire for the electric fence, in a last-ditch effort to keep them corralled.

So I need to bring in enough to cover that now, too, plus the hay, and the taxes, and. my medical costs, and and and and. Some sales this week and next would go a long way on all of that; as I said yesterday, hope is a stubborn thing. Also, I posted a new cuff last night, another in his informal series of solid sterling silver vintage-style bracelets; you can see it here.

We're still hoping to put aside enough for a new well when the ground thaws enough to drill in the spring, too, Nah, we've given up on the well. No one's available to drill before the latter half of summer, and the tax burden means we would never be able to afford it anyway. But it's perhaps even more of a good time to make a purchase, because Uncle Sam is a vindictive colonizer, and my current stress levels about paying it all are off the charts. And there's lots of fabulous work, so please share all of the links.
