Exhaustion. For all of us. Sales and subscribers and shares needed now.

That up there was almost two hours ago. It has since been and gone, moved out southeastward after giving our land a good hard heavy soaking. More on the way, apparently; it's been sprinkling virtually nonstop ever since, and we're under a flash flood watch.

We said the rain's fate and Shade's were linked. We should've known better though, that it wouldn't be how we thought. I mean, Shade always hated the rain. She'd stand out to graze in a freaking blizzard, but let the first few drops of rain hit her face, and she'd shake her head and squeal and take off for the barn. So we might've known that she'd send it after she didn't have to be out in it.

::Sigh:: Miskwaki's adjusting. Not happily — he's very depressed — but he understands what happened. He's going to need a lot of help and support. We mostly just need rest right now; our exhaustion levels are epic, and it's as much mental as it is physical. Don't get me wrong — physically, we both pushed ourselves beyond what we would've thought we could do (in my case, particularly with the wrist/hand and ankle/knee issues) — but you can recover from physical exertion relatively rapidly. The kind of mental strain involved here, notsomuch. It'll be a while for both of us before we're back up to speed.

It will also be a while before I'm caught up to my more usual state of being behind on everything else. To top it all off, out Internet went out again for two hours right through the middle of my work, so I'm behind on that, too. To that end, I have to get back to it all, so it's just cut-and-paste from here on out. We very much, very badly need sales and new Patreon subscribers, and since this is early July, if you subscribe today, you won't be billed until August 1st. Here are the links and a request to share them, because without those sales and subscribers, I honestly don't know how we get through this:
I had said that I'd really like to raise another $500 in subscriptions before July is out, just to have a little more to throw to the medical wolves that are constantly at my throat. Now, we've got a lot more that needs to be done, too, and I'm damned if I know how. The truck was more than enough to throw a wrench in the works (and that's still unfixed, for the most part, given that just the one part is more than $1,200, so . . . ), but this thing with Shade? Out of left field. And once you're in it, you have to keep going; there's no way out but forward, whatever the result. So please, please share the links. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and kind words and other help for Shade. I know she was better off for it, and I know she appreciated that.
