Cold and wet and windy and dark. Painting punted to tomorrow.

So, I was supposed to finish that up today. But see that sun, through the window and on the wall?

Yeah, we don't have any.

It's cold and wet and windy and dark, and I wouldn't be able to see well enough to be sure that I was doing it correctly, so it gets punted to tomorrow. The thing with these artisan finishes is that you have to be able to see the pattern as you're applying it, and in that room in this light? Impossible.

I did get a couple of big things done today: completing the platform switchover for how we process credit cards for the gallery; ordering time-sensitive materials for the upstairs bath, so the guys can (we hope) start tiling soon. This weather is playing hell with my pain levels, though, so I'm not very efficient about stuff, and there's a lot more I'll need to get done this week once the weather clears.

I have a lot more to do here tonight, too, and I'm extra-slow about everything right now, so I need to get to it. That means just cutting and pasting the rest of this again. But one caveat, WRT to the Lowe's cards: They can be purchased in any denomination, I believe (I think the site said $10 to $2,000). I had to select denominations, though for the wish list, which is why they're what they are, but people can always change it to a lesser amount. It all goes toward the interior work. Anyway, links are here (for us, and for a couple of other folks who need donations far more desperately right now):
We're okay at the moment on [the cash] front (although how long that will last is anybody's guess, given that we're in the final and by far the most expensive stages). So as I said last night, right now, the best ways to help are as follows: by sharing the link to Wings's site (preferably with a testimonial, if you have some of his work), because sales are gonna keep this thing rolling; and sharing the link to our wishlist (which badly needs updating), with an emphasis on the Lowe's gift cards, because those are what will help us pay for all the stuff that will make this place liveable, like a water heater and flooring and so forth.
As I also said, as far as folks in need of immediate help with donations. Lauralee needs help badly right now. So does Karen. Please share their links, and kick in if you can. They're both on much tighter timetables, and there are health and safety concerns at issue for both of them. We'll be good for a little for both as soon as we can, but right now, we have a $1,425 repair bill for the truck hanging over us that has to be paid next week. After that, I can calculate where we are a little better, and squeeze some out of our most recent sale for each of them, I hope.
I have a lot to do tonight; it's going to be a very busy, very stress-filled week here. Many thanks and much love to everyone. As to everything else, I'm going to keep saying this: It's time to fight.
