It seems that all bets are off on everything now.

The south slopes began going gold two days ago. The difference between Friday and Saturday, though, was dramatic. This is far earlier than usual for everything to be going yellow (apart from drought effects, I mean); only a few years ago, we wouldn't have seen this much gold on the peaks before the second week of October, at the earliest. September here used to be more summer than fall, but it seems that all bets are off on everything now.

The bears are already out and about, have been since early August, and that's two months too early for them, too. Coyote and Skunk usualy don't show up much before the end of this month, but they've been digging around for food. All signs point to an early winter, and a hard one, and we'll be glad to have one once again. My only fear is that the power grid, already straining under the weight of too much constant colonial invasion and too little actual upgrading, won't handle it.  We have muljtiple brownouts and blackouts every single day week before last, and most of the past week, too. We frankly don't use that much juice here, but the Ski Valley and all the new grow farms and dispensaries and airport expansion and all the other colonizer nonsense are huge power sucks.

The land can't support it.

Meanwhile, I have to figure out a way to work with a body that doesn't support me, either. Since droppping the lupus meds, I no longer feel like I'm dying four times a day from blood-sugar levels in the [literal] death zone, but my pain levels are much more crippling, and the neuropathy and other symptoms are worse. It's impairing on every level, and it's especially problematic now when I have to bring in sales to cover the tax and medical stuff and start ramping up for the holiday business season.

He's got several more items in the pipeline, mostly big ones, working around a coule of commissions. I do have those new BIG works I promised last week, posted here last Thursday. They're absolutely phenomenal, and selling either or both would take care of everything at the moment, but I don't expect that to happen. So we need all the help we can get. All the links are here; please, share them:

We're still hoping to put aside enough for a new well when the ground thaws enough to drill in the spring, too, Nah, we've given up on the well. No one's available to drill before late next year at the earliest, and this year's tax burden means we would never be able to afford it anyway. But it's even more of a good time to make a purchase, because Uncle Sam is a vindictive colonizer, and my current stress levels about paying it all are off the charts. And there's lots of fabulous work, so please share all of the links.
