First tassels.

First tassels on the corn today. There are two stalks with them, neither of which seems to be among the tallest in terms of leaves. This is late, but with a little luck, not too late to give us a small harvest of decent ears.

Everything else is late, too, obviously, and it's been this way this whole damn week, and tomorrow, I can tell you right now, isn't going to be any different. It's been nonstop interruptions; I first sat down to write today's NDN Silver post at 10:30 this morning, and you can see how well that went; I was only able to sit in one place long enough to finish the damn thing ten whole hours later.

This has got to stop. And it's going to, because I'm just done. People think I need to be immediately available for everything they want no matter what, and when it's their screw-up, not mine? Yeah, no. When those same people start showing the slightest concern for us, maybe we'll talk again, but for now, I'm done. My health is deteriorating too badly, for one. And I'm sorry [no, I'm not], but I don't owe shit to people who play in my face. That's over, too.

Once again, all this nonsense has made everything late, so I'm going to be at this half the night for the fifth day [out of seven, with two still to come, so IOW, every. single. day] so far this week. Then again, when my pain is this bad, I can't sleep anyway, so whatever. But next week is going to be different. I'm done.
