Well, yesterday was a good day. The light, particularly, seemed to have special gifts lined up for Wings to celebrate his birthday, beginning with an unusually bright alignment of stars directly outside the window before dawn yesterday; he woke me up to see them. Then we had two or three separate storms yesterday, and as the rain was falling at sunset, water and light conspired to produce this. Then, just as I turned out the last light last night, a shooting star raced across the eastern sky. Only I saw that one, but we both agreed that it must have been intended for his celebration.

Otherwise, the day was quiet, and extremely busy. Today will be more of the same. I finally was able to get the two new pairs of hoop earrings posted late last night, which you can see here. Today he expects to finish a couple more of the wrap rings. He's got other things in the pipeline, including, possibly (and I emphasize possibly), the first in The Summer Elementals for Sunday. It all depends on how the weekend goes.

We're still hoping to put aside enough for a new well when the ground thaws enough to drill in the spring, too, Nah, we've given up on the well. No one's available to drill before the latter half of summer, and the tax burden means we would never be able to afford it anyway. But it's perhaps even more of a good time to make a purchase, because Uncle Sam is a vindictive colonizer, and my current stress levels about paying it all are off the charts.
