Click on the image and enlarge it; you'll see one of his latest works in progress. All the texturization? All freehand work, with a single divot-end stamp. It almost looks cast, but it's not. This one is special order, and it's going to be a ring with a fabulous stone at the center.
He finished that part of it yesterday, and e's out working on the next stage right now. He's also got . . . four, if I'm counting correctly, other works in rotation today alone, plus some new inventory pieces at the sketching stage.
We're both recovering from yesterday's trip; it's amazing just how hard a part-of-one-day trip to Santa Fe and back is on our bodies now. It also occurred to me earlier that some of my pain today is complicated by what happened Thursday, dealing with Miika; she responded to the sedation faster and more completely than usual, and I wound up having to hold her head up for most of it to keep her from just dropping onto the ground to sleep. So I'm slow again, and behind, but . . . ::sighs:: we keep plugging away, both of us.
But, I've still got to get us out of this month and this year in one piece, and I can't do that unless our sales rate increases dramatically and immediately. Nothing else matters (to the outside world where these things have to be paid, and so I have to behave accordingly).
