The post is here. Wings's main page is here. Among the images featured today, all of the nuggets shown remain available for use. Wings can easily create a wrapped piece in nugget form that calls upon the stone's raw and elemental powers, or with more finely detailed work, cut and cab a piece for use in a more traditional setting; simply inquire via the site's Contact form. And, as always, shares are much needed and appreciated.

Wait, does Wings do his own cutting and cabbing too? If that's the case, maybe next time I hit a gem show, I take a look over slabs as well as cabs...
ReplyDeleteHe does a little. usually, it's more cost-effective simply to buy the stone already in cabbed form, but occasionally, he'll need to make a special piece using something he has only in rough or nugget form. He has the basic lapidary equipment with which to do all of it - it''s just, as I said, that it's mostly more cost-effective to buy finished cabs. But when he gets a chance at some great stone like this in nugget form, it's too good to pass up. :-)
