A few clouds; not many. Most of those are gone now, replaced by the twinned pollutions of contrails and smoke fro the prescribed burn west of here.

We're reduced to praying that the weekend forecast holds. It's a long way off yet, though; it'll undoubtedly change several times a day every day between now and then.

And my pain levels will never stabilize as long as we have these ridiculously high temperatures and wild swings in barometric pressure. I mean, there's no relief from the pain anyway, there never will be and now, it will only get worse [and it is, daily]. And while I'm no longer having to kill myself trying to make a certain minimum number of sales every week between now and year's end, this year has been so slow that we're way behind on everything, including prepaying next year's taxes [that's a zero; a big fat zero]. Which means that I need to continue to bring in consistent sales to get that covered. Once that prepayment is handled, I can rest a little. But not now. I figure if I can bring in around $6K in sales between now and year's end, we'll be in halfway decent shape.

So I'll still be pushing sales, if not with quite the same sense of desperation that has had me in a death-grip for most of the year. But I need to continue to bring in enough to get the taxes off my desk once and for all, so that means we need shares. I've been posting Wings's new earrings over the last two weeks as each new pair in the series gets completed; they're all gorgeous, and they all need to find their homes. I've also reorganized most of the galleries, so that all of the available inventory appears on the first page (and in a couple of cases, spills over onto the second); I have to do the same for the gemstone bead pieces but the rest are done, so you don't need to go beyond the upper second page to find what's current.
