We have some wild clouds today: animal shapes in the south, giant thunderheads everywhere else, even with no chance of rain in the forecast.

We also have had a visit from my girl and her offspring, circling overhead to say hello. That always makes it a better day.

So does making a sale, which we have done, and the relief I feel is indescribable.

Of course, we have to keep making them. I worked it out one year, and if we make one sale a week, we can generally keep our heads above water. The amount doesn't really matter because he's got such a wide range of price points; eventually, it evens out into something that keeps us going. But we haven't even had one sale a month this year, and it's been brutal.

Now, this is the start of our busy season, where Wings will be doing nothing except trying to build inventory for the holidays (I mean, aside from all the outdoor and other physical labor that he has to do to keep this place running), and I will be doing nothing but trying to sell it, and maybe — maybe — we'll manage enough sales to survive these next four months. .

So folks will presumably understand if I keep doing essentially nothing but push sales now. I posted his newest cuff here yesterday, and it's amazing; it's called Stars Float Down Like Butterflies, and as soon as you see it, you'll see why. Last week, I posted his two new pairs of earrings, here. There's plenty of other new work in the site, too.
