Does that mean the sky is happy to see us? Yes, I'm twelve at heart. But Wings saw the image downloaded on-screen, and had the same immediate reaction, so clearly it's not just me.

Besides, in times like these, we have to take our humor where we can find it, however juvenile. Because it's been a hell of a bad week by any measure, and as far as the rest of the world goes? It's pretty damn clearly going to get a whole hell of a lot worse before it gets better. And it's never going to get better unless people fucking warrior up and fight. Blue MAGA's got foreign flags in their bios and tributes to bigots and "Resist!™️" everywhere, but they think "resistance" is posting a fucking emoji on bluesky. Actual resistance requires, at some point, that you be willing to fight: back against the evil, and for the people and principles and world that matter. And our feckless "leaders" aren't doing either one.

Meanwhile, people have to survive. And that requires resources, and people are being deprived of them left and right [and their liberty, and their lives].

For myself, all I can do right now is put the prospect of more medical nonsense out of mind as much as possible. We have more immediate issues in the home repairs, and we can cover the materials next week, at least, and probably the labor. The following week, though? and the ensuing weeks, and the next three stages of it? Yeah, that's why I've got to bring in a bunch of sales now.

Because it's been a ridiculously expensive year already [on top of last year]. If we can just continue to make regular weekly sales, we'll be fine . . . but we need to make those sales now. There's a lot of gorgeous new work up [and there will be more to come, as it fits it in around the commissions currently under way, six at the moment], and that includes several pairs of brand new earrings that are at a more modest price point than most of this work, but I've got to sell them for it to make any difference.
