That's what was delivered so late yesterday. The wood o the deck is rotted, dangerously so, and this is the first stage of replacement [it'll take about four stages overall]. They're sealing it right now. Once it's dry, they'll rip out the bad boards and replace them with these. That won't be until Friday at the earliest for drying, and it's supposed to rain, so I'm guessing they won't start switching them out before Monday.
And it all costs. On top of the $1K so far for this first stage, yesterday I had to bite the bullet and buy a new mill fitted with the proper size rollers for Wings, because he has an order that requires wider flats than his old one has, and despite all the promises ot there of extension rollers for sale? Yeah, no. Nobody has any. Fortunately, after a lot of digging, I was able to find a small, specially designed one that was only $816, rather than $1,600-3,600. But that's still $816 I wasn't planning on having to spend, so on top of everything else, I have to bring in enough to make up for that now.
And it's been a ridiculously expensive year already [on top of last year]. If we can just continue to make regular weekly sales, we'll be fine . . . but we need to make those sales now. There's a lot of gorgeous new work up [and there will be more to come, as it fits it in around the commissions currently under way, a few of the most recent dozen-plus done, 4 more under way at the moment], and that includes several pairs of brand new earrings that are at a more modest price point than most of this work, but I've got to sell them for it to make any difference. And to that end, links are here:
