Reminds me of home.

That was an hour or so ago; same storm system, apparently a real and damaging tornado in Navajoland up in southern Utah. Just rain and wind here, thunder, lightning, a brownout that knocked out our Internet for 20 minutes.

That image, though? The colors, the stormy skies, the sheer autumn of it? Reminds me of home. yes, this is my home now, but I'm talking about homelands, which is a different kind of thing. It's beautiful.

The clouds are moving eastward now, though.  Still windy and stormy, but it's leaving. Now we're in for two weeks of more ordinary fall weather here, at least as far as is currently forecast. Which is good, because LANL is going to spend the next two weeks poisoning us all with daly venting of a very radioactive isotope, and if it mixes with rain, you cannot be out of doors.  Of course, they don't give a shit about the animals or the earth, either, so . . . .

But I have GOT to make it rain in the other sense. 

It's been a hell of a hard week, and a hell of an expensive one, too. And I don't know how I do that given how slow sales have been. This week has crippled me physically; not the weather, just disease progression and progression of joint destruction and connective tissue damage, and no, I cannot do yoga or visit or chiropractor any longer, and there is essentially nothing that helps. So I'm chasing sales through agonizing levels of pain right now, along with everything else I have to do, and I'm not doing well at any of them as a result.

And I said yesterday there's the more than 2 grand, cash, we're out this week? Hahahahaha, oh, if only. Nope. We're well over $3K. We've made one sale this week, and it's incredibly welcome, but it's nowhere near that level.

And it's been a ridiculously expensive year already [on top of last year]. If we could just continue to make regular weekly sales, we'd be fine . . . but we need to make those sales now, and so far, that's not happening. There's a lot of gorgeous new work up including the two brand new bolos today, but I've got to sell them for it to make any difference. And to that end, links are here:
