It's Wings's birthday, and instead he brought me flowers. I've had two things on order for him for weeks, but both shipped them Smartpost, which means that FedEx has been letting them sit for two weeks straight in their Colorado sorting centers. They should have been here long ago, but no.

So I'll be letting both companies know that I won't order from them unless they allow me the option of paying for better shipping. It's happened too many times, we've had this discussion before, and two weeks just sitting in one spot? Nah. Not again. 

Today felt more like the first week of September: hot, and so dry that you can feel fall on the air despite the heat. We need rain, and lots of it, and I suspect we're not getting it. We are getting plenty of area and regional wildfires, though. And still stupid, selfish people insist on shooting off their goddamned fireworks, law be damned. I'll be glad when the fourth is over; it's a "holiday" we hate, anyway.

For now, it's all just trying to get caught up on everything, but my pain levels are completely unmanageable now. That stupid rotator cuff is back out of place, as is the muscle attached to it, and the pain is excruciating. My hips are the same, and my thoracic spine. The permanently-dislocated joints in my feet are making standing and walking an absolute nightmare, and I don't have time for any of it, but I also don't have a choice.

I've also got to bring in enough sales to cover all this repair work, and I can't do that if I can't actually focus on my work. I've actually got to bring in a lot more sales than I expected us to need at this particular moment. And we can still use help with shares, testimonials, wishlist stuff I can't get to yet, etc. To that end, links are here:
