The first one.

We finally have a real, full door set-up off the kitchen.  We've been talking about screen doors forever, but they're so damn expensive, and then Nano overhead us and told us he could make them. He's going to do them for the upstairs doors onto the deck, too. 

And there's the first one. 

It's weird, but we hadn't even realized that the doors all looked incomplete. But they did.  Do.  Except this one; it now looks like a real door.

That was the second thing we got done today. The first was the annual chimney/flue cleanings, which cost a small fortune. but it's done for another year. Apparently they weren't in bad shape, really, despite the amount of piñon we burned last year [truly dry aspen, which burns cleaner, is almost impossible to get these days]. Of course, that's probably because we haven't had a fire in six weeks, because it's been too damn hot. Normally, by this point in the summer, the late-day rains cool it off enough at night that you need a small one occasionally, but nope, not this year. It's been an expensive summer, though, and there's so much more repair work that needs to get done.

It's also been an exceptionally hard one, for a lot of reasons, not all of which are mine to go into right now. Add the pain onto that — now my left shoulder has dislocated on its own overnight, and besides no sleep, the pain is agonizing, and I can't really use either arm now, for fuck's sake — I'm so burned out, on every front. Whatever. I've actually got to bring in a lot more sales than I expected us to need at this particular moment. We were so blessed to make one today; another three or four over the next week would do wonders. And we can still use help with shares, testimonials, wishlist stuff I can't get to yet, etc. To that end, links are here:
