The long-range outlook (via scientific projections) for the rest of this year is beyond grim. Fall's already here, but we can't get shut of the heat, and every day the weather people says "rain," and every day the weather itself just laughs at us for hoping. Meanwhile, yesterday, the town council FINALLY did their minimal duty and voted to reinstate mask and distancing requirements, but there are already COVID cases in the schools in the very first week of classes, and in local day-care operations, too. Meanwhile, more people needing help, and nowhere near enough of anything to go around. Everything's broken now.

Another $130 out the door this morning to the farrier. It took a lot, but between Wings and him, he was able to get a little work done on all four of Miika's hooves even without the sedation. Miskwaki, of course, is quick; he's an old hoof at this, and very cooperative. But it set our day back by a good bit in terms of time, never mind the expense.

I'm on hiatus from everything except making sales, because the bills don't give a shit whether I can move or sleep or do anything or not. Which means that making sales has got to be my perpetual focus, and I can't do it alone. Wings has A LOT of new work, including one more new cuff I'll be posting today, so I'd be grateful to everyone who shares all of it, and of course, if you're in the market, keep us in mind for purchases. After paying our taxes the other night, I really do need to build up some reserves to get us just a tiny bit ahead of the eight-ball of bills.

I have GOT to make some sales for us to make it through the month, never mind the rest of the year, and there are also far too many folks who need help (which we did yesterday and will be doing more of next week, in addition to having to pay for the farrier and for a firewood delivery; fall's here already). Anyway, links are here:
