When I promised a phenomenal new work, I wasn't kidding.

When I promised a phenomenal new work, I wasn't kidding.  This is Wings's latest, classic, traditional, vintage-style, and with heavy, deep, meticulous freehand detail work.

This cuff is brand-new, finished only Friday evening; I just haven't had a chance to get the photos edited and uploaded and the description written until now. This one is special. It's old-style work, entirely freehand, a heavy nine-gauge band of triangle wire with narrow hand-scored borders and alternating rows of freehand stampwork on either side of the apex, and hundreds of strikes of the jeweler's hammer to score each of the four borders AND the apex itself, all entirely freehand. The ends of the band are hammered by hand, and the finish work is hand-filed; the whole piece is heavily oxidized with an aged Florentine finish. It's called The Roots of Medicine, and you can read its full description here.

This is a cuff I would gladly keep for myself, but it's meant to go elsewhere. It's stunningly beautiful; do go to the link and scroll through ALL the photos. Trust me; you want to: One end has its own little secret.

There is a lot of new inventory up now; you can view it all starting with Wings's main page here. Orders via the site's Contact form. We need to make consistent sales to make it through August and cover all the coming new medical costs, plus the rest of this terrible second pandemic-ridden year (one that has already been bitter indeed for our communities), so shares of the site links are much appreciated.
