This morning's snow clouds. We were assured they would bring us rain, maybe snow, between, say, nine and ten this morning. Did they?
Of course not.
Plenty of wind, though. And every day, my condition worsens. We had to run a bunch of errands today (post office, stand in line at the pharmacy to pick up scrips, deal with the cell service from hell, now 8 days without number transfer and I can't leave messages for anyone because we don't have our numbers back, because Choice Wireless is breaking the law and holding them hostage and if they think they'll get another plugged nickel from us, they can fucking whistle for it). And I can barely stand, never mind walk. My right Achilles is a mess; so are both metatarsals, but especially the left. Both knees are about what you'd expect for someone with lupus and inflammatory arthritis whose rheumatologist first DX'd her with no knee cartilage in both knees 22 years ago. My index and little fingers are badly swollen and sore on my left hand, never mind unuseable; both thumbs are shot; on my right, a lupus/RA version of trigger-finger syndrome is spreading from the middle finger to the rest of the hand, and the entire thumb joint subluxes constantly. My left shoulder is still not back in place entirely, and literally every single joint system is in agony, and I'm told there's nothing they can do for me (except, you know, the proper dosage of pain meds that no one will give me, because that would be a moral hazard). I am wracked with pain 24/7/366, all over my entire body, and I'm told just to live with it. "What, can't you just take a hot bath?"
I'm ready to start breaking things.
And the things I need to get done are piling up, continually. As I've been saying, I don't know how much you'll see of me beyond the daily stuff this month at all, but especially these first two weeks, because I'm completely swamped right now, and will remain that way until the tax stuff is off my desk for the year. But there's always work to be done, and I do still have to make sales consistently. I'm now back on track on sales (! although I'll need to bring in another before Saturday, obviously, to stay that way), because as always, I still need to bring in one sale a week for us to break even.
And we have new work! There's another cuff (amethyst), plus a casual necklace and a bolo (both turquoise, in very different styles). I posted the first two last night, here and here; the bolo might be done today (or not). I also got Wings's newest ring posted a couple of weeks ago, and more importantly, I got that incredible new collar-style necklace up, here (and you need to see it, all of it, all of the photos of all five pendants and the beads). It's extraordinary, and it's looking for its home. I also got the last new cuff, pendant, and earrings posted a last week, here; the pendant is sold, but the other two remain available for immediate purchase (and they're both ::wow::). All of our links are here; emphasis on sales and testimonials for now:
There's lots of fabulous work on the site, so please share all of the links.
