Clear signs of fall, I mean drought.

Hazy this morning; less so now, but more cloud cover (which at least has the virtue of cooling it off a bit). Unfortunately, also clear signs of fall, I mean drought, in the trees on all sides now.

They say rain this weekend and early next week, but all the caveats apply, because every time they say that, we wind up with no more than a couple dozen drops, if anything at all. With a new fire start yesterday evening just a little due east of us, something like the 8th fire announced since last weekend? This is scary.

It also has made our allergies and my asthma worse, with all the dust and smoke and ash and things blooming that shouldn't even be here. I'm also in the second week of this new protocol, and it has set back all the progress I'd made on connective tissue resilience and joint pain. It's also just made me feel like unadulterated crap generally, but I can't afford to take any time away from the all-out push for sales now, so here we are. We've made a third sale for the summer just today, and I am so grateful I don't even have words. But the expenses and demands on our resources continue to mount, and nothing's working. Three sales over a whole summer isn't enough to support us with the most basic expenses, never mind anyone or anything else, and I don't know what to do anymore. People keep coming to us, needing help, and we can't. I have to bring in sales; that's non-negotiable. I need help.

Last week I posted Wings's newest two works, here, both at lower price points than is usual for him. I also posted his newest gemstone-bead trio a week ago, here. He's got new earrings in the works, too; I might actually have a couple of those pairs tonight, if all goes well in the studio today. Sales have been terribly slow all year, and now we are quite literally at the point of not being able to make it, never mind the dental stuff (he's unilaterally decided to push that back yet again). I don't have any way to solve that outside of making sales, so I'm begging folks, please: All the links are listed below (with new health-related priorities on the wishlist), so please share:
