The next couple of weeks aren't going to be much fun. They'll be expensive, though.

Wings's latest belt, in process. Normally, a butterfly concha belt refers to a very specific design of a more ordinary concha belt — i.e., like his last one, in which each regular concha is flanked by small vertical "separator" conchas whose flared shape resembles butterfly wings. In the one to come, it's meant very, very literally: nine or ten conchas plus buckle (I forget whether it's 9 + buckle or 10+), each in the actual hand-cut shape of of butterfly. It's going to be phenomenal.

He has a couple of more traditional necklaces in the works, each of which will have a bold gemstone pendant on sterling silver chain, plus a number of the new bead necklaces and coordinating earrings. Some of the latter variety may be done yet today, or not, depending on how everything else goes.

Yesterday, the one big thing I did was begin attacking the mold in the reservoir that holds the washing machine's drain hose. Among all the other fuck-ups in that room, the completely misinstalled the washer, so that when the water sprayed inside the wall on the spin cycle, because they installed a broken pipe and no seal? It also backed up around the drain hose. The clean-out? Is also . . . not a clean-out. It doesn't go anywhere. Nothing goes to it. Unlike the drain hose, it was spotless. Yeah, you don't want to know what I've been saying over the last two weeks. The air is blue. At any rate, the windows are open and the fan is slowly driving out the bleach/detoxifier smells. It's going to require multiple applications, though. We also have a couple of anti-mold bombs (i.e., foggers, like some pet owners use for fleas) arriving on Wednesday to deal with the openings in the walls. I will have to be completely out of here for hours afterward on the days they're used, though, because their dispersal system? Ethanol. The dispersal system in the Q-var inhaler that gave me literal hives? Ethanol.

The next couple of weeks aren't going to be much fun. They'll be expensive, though.

Big bills to pay these next few days. Much bigger ones over the course of the next month, when we figure out whether we need to open up the rest of the wall, and whether it'll involve opening the outside, too, or merely repairing from the inside. And then there's the cost of redoing the drywall and replastering. And that doesn't include what else is coming down the pike for me on the medical front, or even regular seasonal stuff like cutting and baling the hay, which is going to need to happen in the next week or so. And I still can't get over the fact that it cost me $350 cash for the damn inhaler.

So we need to make sales. A lot more than what we've been making in recent months, way down from our usual pace this time of year. So please share the link to our site. A lot of y'all have Wings's work; it would be nice to have a testimonial for it to post on the site, too. And, of course, if you want to help in other ways, aside from my Patreon, there's always our Amazon wishlist. If I ever get some free time, there's plenty of household stuff I need to put on it; I just don't have enough hours in the day to spend on that sort of thing right now. Or much else; I'm too far behind from too many months (years) unable to breathe.
