Meantime, there's so much work to be done.

It's hard to get a focused shot through double-paned glass; this is about the best I could do. That was just before dawn this morning, as the dark was beginning to lift and the first light was spreading across the sky. This is not the whole herd, but it's a good chunk of it, and they had, up to that point, been resting in the snow in the field right outside our bedroom window. Of course, traffic ruins that, but it's far safer for them to be up in the backcountry by full light anyway. They've been coming here for fourteen winters now. They're safe here, we keep our distance, and it keeps them off the highway. 

And we're supposed to have more winter weather. You wouldn't know it by today's temperatures, edging perilously close to fifty already, although every time the wind kicks up, it feels 20 degrees colder. Tomorrow is supposed to bring rain turning to snow, and by Wednesday night, another five inches of the white stuff. We can only hope.

Meantime, there's so much work to be done.

And, of course, I'm now behind two weeks on sales, because as always, I still need to bring in one sale a week for us to break even, and I haven't managed that since three weeks ago. I did get Wings's new ring posted the other day, but more importantly, I got that incredible new collar-style necklace up, here, and you need to see it, all of it, all of the photos of all five pendants and the beads. It's extraordinary, and it's looking for its home. With luck, I might have the new cuff and pendant posted later today, and possibly the new earrings, too, all available for immediate purchase.
