No plaster, just prep. Hay dropped; storm in the offing, natch. A lot more tomorrow.

This is all that got done today, because Sherm's laborer didn't show. They need a third person for him and Miguel to be able to work on what's left, because the third guy has to do all the mixing. So today was just getting supplies, taping off, covering the wood in plastic sheeting, etc.

Gabriel did show, unlike the other dude, and so the hay has ben dropped. Now there's a massive storm cell sitting just off to the west, natch, so we're in the unusual position of praying for not-rain for a few days. I was hoping that dropping the hay would deal with the mosquito invasion a bit, but apparently the smoke ran off too many of their natural predators. These are mutant-sized, and it's clear to me that they're here biding their time, awaiting the apocalypse so that they can take over.

No change in Ginger, but she's still very much engaged, so we're hopeful. Turns out one of the new little girls has an oddity, too: Her beak is offset between top and bottom, so it doesn't close properly. It doesn't seem to be bothering her much; she's one of the boldest and most inquisitive. Also more affectionate.

Tomorrow will be another absurdly busy day, and I have more construction-related work to do tonight, mostly plotting out what happens when and with what materials and how much it's going to set us back and so on and so forth, so I should get on it. Tomorrow night, I should have a few better pix, at least. Many thanks and much love to everyone.
