Dangerous cold and other fears for the day.

Beautiful, bitter, dangerous cold. Thirteen degrees below zero when I got up this morning (yes, actual temp of -13), with a wind chill of minus-thirty-one (-31). No, those are not typos.

The medical merry-go-round starts again today. So much to fear, starting with whether I'll actually get anywhere on the referral today, given how unresponsive they've been over the last three months (despite it being the doc's idea). The cost. What they might find, if and when they do get around to looking. I have to get my flu shot this week, too, because the flu here is at deadly levels.

So I won't be around much today (nor much in the mood for anything, given what's ahead of me), and I still have a ton of regular work still to get done. I need to get to it, so here are the links for sharing (or using, if you're so inclined):
  • My Patreon, The Interstices (Writing Between Worlds) (and if you subscribe today you won't be billed until January 1st for December);
  • Wings's site, for sales, with lots of new items posted;
  • Wings's direct PayPal link;
  • A way to buy me coffee (which actually goes to all of our medical bills, which continue to mount);
  • Amazon wishlist, which mostly consists of animal and household stuff;
  • Partial registry #1, from Bed, Bath and Beyond. There are new kitchen-y things on it now, stuff that I didn't realize we'd need to replace (either because the RV ruined it or because we gave it away when we had to downsize).
Today, I'm focused mostly on health and safety. The strain of being without is literally killing me, and I'd like to think today will pull me back from that brink a little bit, but their past performance doesn't give me a lot of hope.
