It's #ThrowbackThursday at The NDN Silver Blog, with a work from last year that was a special commission by a dear friend. She sought a piece that would embody an indigenous representation of the mutuality of links and ties, of burdens shared and blessings too that is found in her own tradition, and Wings turned her concept into symbolic sweetgrass: roots in earth, the braid of community.
