It's something.

This morning, first aspen leaves. Only those two trees. But it's something.

As late as everything is this year, and as much damage as is occurring every day around us? We'll take what we can get.

Fire last night over the ridgeline in Mora County. Yup, same area that was devastated this time last year by the Hermit's Peak Fire, even before it merged with the Calf Canyon Fire. Still only 30% containment, despite colonizer nonsense on social media last falsely reporting it as being out. We have intermittent winds here today, but rising temps and falling humidity and those winds we do have? Twenty-footers, the kind that can jump whole pines, skip from ridge to ridge. Tomorrow is supposed to be the hell winds, the really damaging ones [which is why I feel like hell today; my joints can always tell when they're on the way]. I'm behind on everything, no writing's getting done, not much else is, either, and I'm annoyed and frustrated beyond belief at my inability to function.

But there's no time for me to write right now anyway, except for the daily obligatory stuff. We have too much to get done on the business front, beginning with bringing in enough sales to let us prepay all of next year's quarterly taxes. My hand and wrist are improving, but they're still not there yet, and certainly not out of the splint brace, so that slows everything down, including chasing sales. I'm gimpy, too; hips and knees and feet are all very bad today, and I got almost no sleep last night as a result. But as I said last week, we've got Wings's newest work here and here, with more to come (you should see the big one currently in process, around the tree or so commissioned pieces in various stages). All of them are incredible, and all need to find their homes. All the links are listed below, so please share:

  • Sales here
  • Testimonials here
  • Amazon wishlist here (new priority, because I've been forced to eliminate another staple from my diet just to function rather minimally, and someone mentioned that perhaps our old non-stick pans, which are in fact long since well beyond their useful date, are making the matter worse, so there's a non-PFAS replacement set at the top that would help with cooking/cleanup/my hands/my illness; and yes, the Zero-Odor sprays are still useful right now, although these days it's dusty dogs, not wet ones);
  • Patreon here;
  • Ko-fi here.

There's lots of fabulous work on the site, so please share all of the links.
