They've learned *nothing*.

We had some beautiful blue skies this morning . . . disrupted, corrupted, by those ugly drought-magnifying contrails everywhere. I wish our airspace was free of trespass (and the noise and vibration) as it used to be. Give 'em an inch . . . .

Meanwhile, the town and county are looking to make that much, MUCH worse.

Now, in early afternoon, the skies aren't blue anymore. Everything's gray, mostly clouds, but with a solid haze of smoke to the south and west. That's because there are three separate fires in a national forest southwest of here, below Socorro: two wildfires of apparently as yet unknown origin at opposite ends of that forest, plus a prescribed burn in between the two that they launched despite knowing there were wildfires on either end.

They've learned nothing.

Meanwhile, the work continues apace here. According to the forecast, there's supposed to be no chance of rain, but that's not what the skies are saying, so Wings has upended his plans yet again to get some of the mowing done, just in case. We were blessed to make a sale this morning, so I think we're going to be able to cover that bill next week, but I will still need to chase sales consistently. And wouldn't you know it, but I just posted his two latest here last night, and they are extraordinary: Get a load of the stone and the bezel work in the top one (and the stampwork on both of them). And they're stackable, too. I know somebody out there wants these.

In the meantime, I've got tons of other work to catch up on here, too, and I'm gimpy today; knee brace and therapy boot on the left, and subluxes in both knees and both feet (and all the terrible pain that attends them). And I still need to bring in enough to cover everything on a regular basis. All the links are listed below, so please share:
